Snake's venom and its effects.

   Ranatra spec.

Water Stick Insect (Ranatra spec./ Ranatra linearis?) Family- Nepidae, Order- Hemiptera.

I found this insect in a Confederation Park, Canada BC, Burnaby. I found it as it fell from a tree into the lake. It is almost identical to Ranatra linearis, but i have never heard that it's habitat includes Canada BC. This may very well be a new specie, but only time will tell.

Diet: They pray on water flees, and water bugs.

Not sure of it's sex. Any one know on how to sex them?
