Distribution: Southeast Asia, lower elevations in Sri Lanka, Southern India, Bengal, Assam, Himalayan foothills, and in southern Honshu Island, Japan.

This specie is active throughout the day. Constantly on the move, they rarely settle down. Eggs are deposited one by one on the under side of leaves.

Diet: Annonaceae, Magnoliaceae such as Annona lawii, Lauraceae, Cinnamomum macrocarpum, Michelia champaca, Magnolia grandiflora, Milliusa tomentosum and Polyalthia longifolia.
