Olive Keeled Flat Rock Scorpion (Hadogenes paucidens)

They originate from South Africa. H. paucidens are the longest scorpions in the world, including their tail. This is one of the most laid back scorpions. They tend to prefer to pinch over stinging. In the rare case if one would get stun, its very mild, similar to that of a bee sting. It is best to make a larger enclosure for them and let them grow into it, other then upgrading as they grow. They tend to stress put very easily and will stop eating for up to two month, and occasionally even starve them selves to death. It is helpful to hand feed them if this does happen. Just simply take a cricket or a king worm, cut off its head and carefully with out spooking the scorpion bring the opened part to its mouth. The hairs on it mandibles will recognise that it is eatable and start eating. It may take up to a few minutes for them to grub the food with their claw.

They are very easy to sex: males have much longer tails then females.

Diet: Crickets, Butter Worms, and other grubs.

Appears to be an adult male.
