   Diapherodes gigantea

Stick Bug (Diapherodes gigantea) Kingdom- Animalia. (No PSG Yet)

They are widely distributed in the Lesser Antilles from Guadeloupe to Grenada. They are sexual. As nymphs, they can be difficult to rear, so keep conditions as near perfect as possible. If you can get them past nymph stage, they are easy to rear and docile to handle. Ova takes 4 month to hatch.

Females: get 6 1/4inches (16cm) long. Adult females will drop 1- 2 ova per day. When adults, females have the ability to cling like super glue when they do not want to be moved.

Males: get 4 3/8inches (11cm) long. Males are winged.

Diet: Bramble, Eucalyptus.
