    Mantids

!Important news!.. Please read "Terms of Service" regarding Shipping live animals during winter, and other guarantees before ordering from us. Non tropical mantids have being used for many years as a natural pest control. They feed on pests that destroy crops thus eliminating the need to use Pesticides. I personally know many people allergic to fruit due to this factor, so they can only eat non sprayed fruits.... The issue comes in when I had a visit from Canadian Inspection Agency, stating that my Tropical species are not allowed to be kept in captivity due to the fact that they do not have proper research done and do not know weather or not they will cause any damage to the environment. Based on that, Canadian Food Inspection Agency does not allow these mantids to be kept as I was told by them.... They are contradicting their own government as the Government of Canada have legalized the use of Chinese Mantids for farming purposes. Chinese Mantids are very adaptable and are already found all over Canada. In my opinion, they should de-legalize the use of Chinese Mantids prior to have any say of Exotic Tropical Species. If you as a human, were asked weather you prefer to eat fruits that have being naturally grown or sprayed with pesticide, I think we all know the answer to that!
